The 1480 Reel Lifting Chucks are designed to expand inside a core to allow the operator to lift and move a finished roll to another station. Both are designed with safety features to ensure strong gripping even in the event of a loss of shop air.
The chucks are available with flange, crane hook, or shaft extension mountings. The expanders can be stepped for use with different size cores. 1480-HSM is a mechanical model that is expanded and retracted with a hand lever. 1480-HSP is a pneumatic-mechanical model with springs to expand and air to retract.
